About the position

The Cincinnati, OH office of Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith LLP is seeking a dedicated and experienced Litigation Paralegal to join their team. This full-time position is designed for individuals with a strong background in litigation, who are capable of supporting a minimum of four attorneys. The primary responsibilities of this role include managing calendars, overseeing document management, and ensuring the organization and review of legal documents. The paralegal will be tasked with compiling information for discovery responses, drafting interrogatories, and preparing pleadings and motions. Additionally, the role involves assisting with depositions and trial preparation, making it essential for the candidate to possess a comprehensive understanding of the litigation process. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three to five years of experience in general liability litigation, along with a Bachelor's degree or a Paralegal Certificate. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is crucial, as strong Excel skills are required for this position. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent organizational abilities, as well as strong written and verbal communication skills. The ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize multiple responsibilities is essential, as this position has an annual billable requirement of 1,600 hours. Responsibilities

  • Support a minimum of four attorneys in litigation matters.
  • Manage calendars and schedule appointments for attorneys.
  • Oversee document management, including review, creation, and organization of legal documents.
  • Compile information for discovery responses, interrogatories, pleadings, and motions.
  • Assist in trial preparation and deposition organization.
  • Maintain strong communication with attorneys and clients regarding case progress.
  • Ensure compliance with annual billable requirement of 1,600 hours.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or Paralegal Certificate.
  • At least three to five years of general liability litigation work experience.
