About the position

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. The successful candidate will provide essential support to our attorneys in all phases from case inception through trial and appeal. This role is critical in ensuring that our legal processes run smoothly and efficiently, allowing our attorneys to focus on delivering the best outcomes for our clients. The Litigation Paralegal will be involved in various tasks that require a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of legal procedures. In this position, you will assist with trial preparation, which includes coordinating witnesses, creating trial binders, and organizing exhibits. You will also assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings. Your responsibilities will extend to drafting, reviewing, and filing legal documents such as motions, pleadings, discovery requests, and subpoenas. Additionally, you will gather relevant information from various sources and conduct legal research to support our cases. Your role will also involve performing administrative duties such as maintaining calendars, processing billing, and scheduling meetings. Responsibilities

  • Assist with trial preparation, including coordinating witnesses, creating trial binders, and organizing exhibits.
  • Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings.
  • Draft, review, and file legal documents such as motions, pleadings, discovery requests, and subpoenas.
  • Gather relevant information from sources and conduct legal research.
  • Perform duties such as maintaining calendars, processing billing, and scheduling meetings.

Requirements

  • Paralegal certificate.
  • 3+ years in litigation (business and commercial litigation).
  • Experience assisting in trials.
  • Strong understanding of legal terminology and procedures and court rules.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Work independently and as a team in a fast-paced environment.
