As a Litigation Paralegal, you will play a crucial role in supporting attorneys throughout all phases of litigation, from the inception of a case through to trial or resolution. Your responsibilities will include assisting with document collections, reviews, and productions, ensuring that all case documents are meticulously organized and managed. You will coordinate with the firm's eDiscovery Resource Management team to oversee document databases and facilitate electronic discovery proceedings, which are essential in modern litigation practices. In addition to document management, you will assist in the preparation of court filings. This includes cite and fact-checking legal briefs, confirming proper Bluebook citation, proofreading documents, and assembling exhibits and appendices. Your role will also extend to supporting depositions by preparing witness files, exhibits, notices, subpoenas, and summarizing depositions. Conducting factual or legal research will be a significant part of your duties, which may involve examining public records, monitoring legislative and administrative proceedings, locating witnesses, and tracing documents and other physical evidence. Trial preparation and logistics will also fall under your purview, where you will prepare witness files, manage exhibits, set up trial spaces, and attend trials as required. A significant portion of your work will involve cases before the International Trade Commission (ITC) and patent litigation matters in federal court, so experience in these areas is preferred. This position demands a proactive approach, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
