About the position

Burg Simpson is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join their Medical Malpractice team in Englewood, CO. The role involves managing all aspects of the litigation process from initial intake to trial attendance, requiring extensive interaction with clients and medical providers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical malpractice and personal injury law, along with excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle all aspects of the litigation process from initial intake to trial attendance.
• Maintain extensive contact with clients and medical providers.
• Review, analyze, and summarize medical, financial, and other case-related documents and records.
• Draft pleadings, discovery, and correspondence.
• Prepare for and attend arbitration, mediation, and trial.
• Manage electronic and paper filing systems.
• Anticipate attorney needs and identify problems to find solutions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of litigation paralegal experience in medical malpractice, personal injury, or a combination of both.
• Proficiency in court rules and procedures in both state and federal courts.
• Well-developed writing and research skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of people.
• Experience in managing a high-volume workload with limited supervision.
