About the position

Yang Professional Law Corporation, an insurance litigation defense firm located in Pasadena, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal to join our team. This full-time position offers an hourly wage ranging from $22 to $30, depending on experience. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of civil litigation processes, including the ability to file documents, propound discovery, and manage case calendars effectively. Familiarity with court rules and procedures is essential for success in this role. As a Litigation Paralegal, you will be responsible for supporting attorneys in all phases of case preparation, from initial discovery through trial. This includes collecting, reviewing, and summarizing medical records and bills, as well as producing and managing document productions and expert files. The ability to work independently with minimal supervision is crucial, as is the initiative to seek assistance proactively when needed. Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook, are required to perform the duties of this position efficiently. Responsibilities

  • Collect, review, and summarize medical records and bills.

  • Produce and manage document productions.
  • Produce and manage expert files.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with civil litigation processes.
  • Ability to file documents and propound discovery.
  • Understanding of court rules and procedures.
  • Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Nice-to-haves

  • 1 year of experience with Microsoft Office (preferred).
