About the position

Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani, LLP is seeking immediate openings for Litigation Paralegals in its New York office. This full-time position offers flexible options for successful candidates, including hybrid work opportunities. The firm prides itself on providing a friendly, business casual environment, coupled with a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package. The role of a Litigation Paralegal is crucial in supporting attorneys and team members in managing large multi-case dockets, ensuring that all case deadlines are met, and assisting in various aspects of litigation preparation. As a Litigation Paralegal, you will be responsible for coordinating depositions, drafting pleadings, and managing discovery processes. You will also be involved in client reporting and providing general support to attorneys. A significant part of the role includes preparing for expert depositions and trial preparations, particularly for MDL litigation matters. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter and a team player, with a strong understanding of the New York State and Federal Rules and Administrative Procedures. Candidates should have experience in filing and serving documents out of state and in the Court of Appeals, although this is preferred rather than required. The position requires independent work on pleadings, discovery, motion preparation, and e-discovery. Successful candidates will demonstrate proficiency in e-filing in state and federal courts, case management, docketing, e-discovery, document review, and exhibit preparation. Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills are essential for this role. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products is required, and familiarity with Compulaw and iManage/Document systems is beneficial. Strong analytical and written communication skills are also necessary, along with a familiarity with Insurance Defense cases, which is a plus but not mandatory.
