About the position

ACTS Law is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal to provide essential support to attorneys throughout all stages of the litigation process. This role is ideal for an experienced individual with strong organizational skills and a passion for the legal field, contributing to the team's success in delivering exceptional legal services.

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys in drafting legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests/responses.
• Manage case files and maintain organized electronic document repositories.
• Coordinate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel to schedule hearings, depositions, and other proceedings.
• Assist with trial preparation, including preparing exhibits, witness lists, and trial binders.
• Review medical records, deposition transcripts, and other relevant documents.
• Assist in client interviews and gathering relevant case information.
• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on case-specific issues.
• Provide administrative support as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program
• Minimum of 3 years of litigation paralegal experience, preferably in civil litigation/personal injury
• Strong understanding of California civil procedure and litigation practices
• Proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw or LexisNexis
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management abilities
• Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively with a team
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software
• Professional and courteous to clients and staff
• Demonstrate good ethics, judgment and maintains the confidentiality of files
