About the position

The Philadelphia office of Saltz Mongeluzzi Bendesky is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal to join their team. This full-time position offers a hybrid work environment, allowing for flexibility while maintaining a strong commitment to client service and legal excellence. The successful candidate will report directly to a trial attorney specializing in personal injury, trucking accidents, construction accidents, premises liability, and product liability cases. This role is crucial in supporting the legal team through various stages of litigation, ensuring that all necessary documentation and communication are handled efficiently and effectively. As a Litigation Paralegal, you will be responsible for drafting correspondence, pleadings, discovery documents, and motions. You will manage discovery deadlines and production, which requires extensive contact with clients and physician offices. Your role will also involve managing pre-litigated cases and those that are already in litigation, reviewing and analyzing case files, and assembling clients' medical records. Additionally, you will research and resolve governmental tax liens and correspond with defense counsel as needed. Analyzing the wage loss portion of clients' claims will also be part of your responsibilities, along with performing other job-related duties as assigned. This position demands a proactive individual who can work independently while also being a team player. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational, time management, research, and analytical skills, along with excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Familiarity with case management software is a plus, and experience with FileVine and Outlook is preferred. Responsibilities

  • Report to trial attorney specializing in personal injury, trucking accidents, construction accidents, premises liability, and product liability.

Requirements

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree.
  • 4-5 years experience with civil litigation matters.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Proficient research and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Experience with case management software is a plus.
