About the position

Our prestigious law firm is seeking an experienced and dedicated Permanent Litigation Paralegal to join our dynamic team. This role will provide you with an opportunity to be an integral part of our firm's litigation team, handling complex and challenging cases. The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of litigation, including case preparation, management, and trial support. As a Litigation Paralegal, you will assist attorneys in all stages of litigation, including drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery requests. You will conduct legal research and gather relevant case materials, ensuring that all information is organized and maintained in case files. Your role will also involve preparing and managing trial exhibits, as well as coordinating with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel to schedule hearings, depositions, and other meetings. Maintaining confidentiality of client information is paramount, and you will also perform administrative tasks such as answering phones, managing calendars, and scheduling appointments.

Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys in all stages of litigation, including drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
  • Conduct legal research and gather relevant case materials.
  • Organize and maintain case files, including indexing and filing documents.
  • Prepare and manage trial exhibits.
  • Coordinate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel to schedule hearings, depositions, and other meetings.
  • Maintain confidentiality of client information.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as answering phones, managing calendars, and scheduling appointments.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of plaintiff personal injury experience.
  • Paralegal certification from an accredited program preferred.
  • Spanish a plus.
  • Proficiency in legal research, legal document preparation, case management, and litigation support.
  • Exceptional legal writing skills, with the ability to draft clear, concise, and persuasive legal documents.
  • Familiarity with legal compliance requirements and procedures.
  • Experience in legal case evaluation and strategy development.
  • Proficiency in using legal software for case management, document review, and trial preparation.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple cases and tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with attorneys, clients, and other legal professionals.
