About the position
We are seeking a skilled Litigation Paralegal to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support in various litigation matters, ensuring the smooth operation of legal proceedings.
Responsibilities
Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for cases
Assist in drafting legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs
Manage case files and maintain organized documentation
Coordinate with attorneys, clients, and court personnel
Prepare for trial by organizing exhibits and evidence
Utilize document management systems efficiently
Perform clerical tasks to support attorneys as needed
Requirements
Proficient in legal case management software such as Clio, PCLaw, or MyCase
Strong knowledge of general civil litigation procedures
Experience with legal research methods and tools
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client interactions
Familiarity with document management systems to handle case files effectively
3 years of paralegal experience
Nice-to-haves
Previous experience in a law firm or legal setting
Understanding of various areas of law to assist in diverse cases
