About the position

The Litigation Paralegal will play a crucial role in the Personal Injury Litigation team, focusing on complex cases involving traumatic brain injuries, major orthopedic injuries, wrongful death, and other catastrophic injuries. This position requires strong legal knowledge and the ability to assist clients through intricate litigation processes, ensuring effective case management and communication with clients and attorneys.

Responsibilities

• Draft legal documents including summons, complaints, discovery requests, and responses.
• Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates and consultations on their cases.
• Manage case calendars and prepare mediation and trial binders.
• Collaborate with attorneys to draft and track meet and confer letters.
• Conduct thorough legal research to support case development.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of California legal procedures and court systems.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in personal injury litigation, particularly in discovery.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Paralegal certificate preferred.

Nice-to-haves

• Bilingual in Spanish is highly preferred.
• Strong medical knowledge including surgeries, injections, and infusions.
