Workway BancForce is seeking a Litigation Paralegal on the Defense side, responsible for a variety of essential tasks that support the legal process. This role involves compiling evidence and supporting information by searching through records, discovery documents, transcripts, libraries, and databases. The Litigation Paralegal will manage files and documents from inception to trial or arbitration, ensuring that all necessary materials are organized and accessible. Coordination with support services, clients, opposing law firms, and courts is a critical aspect of this position, requiring strong communication skills and the ability to maintain professional relationships. In addition to managing documentation, the Litigation Paralegal will correspond with clients and opposing law firms, addressing any issues that arise during the litigation process. This includes communicating with experts and conducting investigations into their qualifications and experience, which may involve reviewing prior transcripts, testimony, and articles. The role also includes assisting with trial preparation as necessary, ensuring that all aspects of the case are thoroughly prepared for presentation in court. The ideal candidate will have 3-5+ years of experience in defense civil litigation, along with a college degree from an accredited university and/or a paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat is essential, as well as strong analytical skills and advanced oral and written communication abilities. Experience with high-volume document production, including organization, indexing, and labeling, is also required. Compensation for this position ranges from $65,000 to $75,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
