About the position

We are looking for a Litigation Paralegal in our Boise office. This position assists attorneys in the delivery of legal services to the firm's clients and works under the direction of the firm's lawyers and, in many instances, directly with clients. Responsibilities for client work are directed by an attorney. The ideal candidate will be highly organized and experienced in litigation, applying knowledge of codes, statutes, regulations, and procedures related to the assigned practice area. The Litigation Paralegal will conduct pre-claim investigations, legal research, and initial case assessments. This includes obtaining records and documents, interviewing clients, parties, and witnesses, preparing subpoenas, locating expert witnesses, managing litigation review databases, and reviewing literature and searching databases. The role requires assembling and organizing factual information, drafting interrogatories, requests for production, motions, memorandums, witness and deposition outlines, privilege logs, and correspondence to clients. Additionally, the paralegal will manage the collection of discovery documents from clients, oversee eDiscovery litigation review databases, manage outside reviewers, and maintain collection, production, and privilege logs. At the end of the case, the paralegal will oversee the disposition of documents. Responsibilities also include annotating, summarizing, or categorizing testimony, documents, physical evidence, or other information; assisting with determining relevance and privilege; critiquing experts' reports; and preparing numerical analyses. The Litigation Paralegal will assist with pretrial motions, prepare trial notebooks and trial exhibits, schedule witnesses, file lists of exhibits and witnesses with the court, and arrange for trial support services. Developing and maintaining positive relationships with the firm's clients is essential, as well as performing administrative responsibilities assigned by the practice area or department chair, such as disseminating changes in codes, statutes, regulations, and procedures to others in the firm and maintaining current files of forms used in the assigned practice area.
