About the position

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a passion for the legal field, with a focus on personal injury litigation. This role involves supporting attorneys in various litigation processes, conducting research, managing case files, and ensuring that all documentation is accurate and well-organized.

Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and meetings by organizing case files and evidence.
  • Obtain medical records.
  • Conduct thorough research to support litigation efforts, including legal research and fact-checking.
  • Transcribe legal documents, correspondence, and other materials as required.
  • Manage data entry tasks related to case management systems to ensure all information is up-to-date.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other legal documents under the supervision of an attorney.
  • File documents with the court and ensure compliance with all procedural rules.
  • Maintain organized case files both electronically and physically to facilitate easy access for the legal team.
  • Collaborate with clients to gather necessary information and documentation for ongoing cases.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Paralegal or in a similar role within a law firm or legal department.
  • Strong knowledge of litigation processes and procedures is essential.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while meeting deadlines.
  • Proficient in data entry with attention to detail to minimize errors in documentation.
  • Strong research skills to effectively gather relevant information from various sources.
  • Ability to transcribe accurately and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required for effective interaction with clients and colleagues.
  • Must be a self-starter and a problem solver.
