About the position
Bowles & Verna LLP is seeking a full-time experienced Litigation Secretary to support 2 to 4 attorneys in Walnut Creek, CA. The role involves managing various aspects of State and Federal Civil litigation, including court rules, E-Filing, trial preparation, document management, and calendaring. The ideal candidate will possess strong computer skills, particularly in Windows and Microsoft Office, and have a detail-oriented approach to work, with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Support 2 to 4 attorneys in litigation tasks.
- Manage all aspects of State and Federal Civil litigation.
- Handle court rules and E-Filing processes.
- Assist in trial preparation and document management.
- Maintain accurate calendaring for court dates and deadlines.
- Proofread legal documents and correspondence.
- Communicate effectively with attorneys and clients.
- Work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Be available to work overtime as needed.
Requirements
- Experience with State and Federal Civil litigation.
- Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office.
- Strong computer skills and document management abilities.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong proofreading skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage workload with minimal supervision.
