About the position

This position is located in the Criminal Division of the Fraud Section. As a Litigation Support Analyst, the employee provides Case Support to the Market Integrity Major Fraud Unit of Fraud Section. You'll work closely with the Section's trial attorneys in a fast-paced setting and assist them in the investigation and prosecution of fraud, up to and including in-courtroom trial support. This is a great opportunity for someone to grow their careers. In this role, you will perform legal and administrative duties as requested by attorneys for Fraud Section investigations and trials. You will utilize eDiscovery platforms to perform document review, communicating detailed summaries and analyses of findings. Cultivating and maintaining positive relationships with DOJ components, Federal agencies, counsel, and others as needed is essential. You will need to organize and prioritize numerous tasks effectively and complete tasks under strict time constraints. Working on multiple cases simultaneously and multi-tasking with minimal supervision will be part of your daily responsibilities. Additionally, you will proofread material as needed for contextual, grammatical, and formatting errors, summarize articles, reports, and witness statements, and review documents for relevance according to established guidelines and criteria. You may also be required to travel to sites for hearings, discovery, and trials, operating electronic courtroom aids during trials to assist in the presentation of evidence.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Three years of experience on major litigation support projects or an undergraduate degree.
  • Highly organized with a demonstrated ability to work independently in a team environment.
  • Excellent writing skills and oral communication capabilities.
  • Hands-on familiarity with the Government's office and network environment.
  • Knowledgeable user of the Government's office and network environment, including word processing, spreadsheet, and hardware systems.
  • Ability to deliver consistent high-quality work product in a deadline-driven environment under extreme pressure.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite of applications and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Curiosity in technology and data analytics.
  • Familiarity with the Criminal Justice system.
  • Persistent, diligent attitude towards work assignments.
  • DOJ MBI must be obtainable.
