About the position

The Hotel General Manager at Live! Casino and Hotel is responsible for the overall leadership and management of hotel departments, ensuring a Fun, Friendly, and Comfortable experience for all team members and guests. This role involves establishing and maintaining standards for a 4-star boutique hotel experience, while also overseeing operational strategies to achieve market leadership in occupancy, rates, and guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Supports, develops, and implements strategic operational and service strategies to enhance market leadership.
  • Responsible for planning, controlling, communicating, and implementing procedures for efficient hotel operations under Maryland Gaming Commission regulations.
  • Directs and leads staff in developing strategies to accomplish objectives approved by ownership.
  • Oversees the hotel department's staff including Front Office, Housekeeping, Food and Beverage, and Facilities.
  • Partners with the VP of Sales to execute sales strategies.
  • Collaborates on the operation of the Contact Center.
  • Liaises with the Finance Division to ensure adherence to policies and controls.
  • Directs the preparation of short-term and long-term business plans and budgets based on corporate goals.
  • Evaluates overall operations regularly and systematically.
  • Supports revenue optimization strategies to maximize financial results.
  • Enforces Learning & Development initiatives to deliver 4-star rated service.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 2-year degree in hospitality, finance, or management preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • Five to ten years of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience at a 4 or 5-star rated hotel is required.
  • Ability to comply with all state gaming regulations, which may include obtaining a license.
