About the position

The Live-In Behavior Technician will provide essential support to a family, focusing on the care and development of a child with special needs. This role involves working closely with parents and therapists to implement behavior plans and assist with daily living tasks. The position offers opportunities for professional growth and hands-on experience in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide live-in support for a family with a child who has special needs.
• Engage with the child to support their growth and development.
• Assist with personal tasks such as transportation, bathing, dressing, and diaper changes.
• Implement behavior plans in collaboration with parents and therapists.
• Learn to administer medication and provide necessary medical care.
• Utilize alternative communication methods, including ASL, PECS, and AAC devices.
• Engage in play, reading, and other activities to promote learning.

Requirements

• Registered Behavior Technician certification or experience as a DSP, CNA, LPN, or BT.
• Minimum of 400 hours of qualified special needs care in the past 5 years.
• Strong communication skills and a positive, engaging attitude.
• Clean driving record and valid Driver's License.

Nice-to-haves
