About the position
The Live-in Caregiver position is designed to provide essential support and assistance to elderly individuals who require help in maintaining a comfortable and supportive living environment. This role involves personal care, household tasks, and facilitating social activities to enhance the client's quality of life.
Responsibilities
- Assist with phone calls and other correspondence as needed.
- Facilitate participation in social activities, including family gatherings and recreational activities.
- Assist with errands in the community.
- Provide friendly and consistent medication reminders when necessary.
- Provide transportation for grocery shopping and doctor's appointments.
- Assist with household tasks such as laundry, vacuuming, dusting, changing linens, washing dishes, and cleaning floors.
- Promote general hygiene by assisting the client with bathing, grooming, showering, dental care, and other personal hygiene needs.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- 1 year of experience in home care is required.
- 1 year of experience in assisted living is preferred.
- Valid Driver's License is preferred.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in taking vital signs is a plus.
- Spanish speaking skills are encouraged.
