About the position
The position involves providing essential home care services to clients, ensuring their hygiene and daily living needs are met under the supervision of nursing staff. The role emphasizes flexibility, recognition, and the opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of individuals requiring care.
Responsibilities
- Providing hygiene care as directed by a nursing supervisor, including bathing, grooming, oral care, dressing, undressing, toileting activities, taking and recording vital signs, and assisting with height and weight measurements.
- Assisting with daily tasks such as feeding, meal preparation, linen changes, light housekeeping, and providing transportation to doctor appointments, outdoor activities, and shopping.
- Assisting clients with active and passive mobility work as defined by the plan of care, and documenting observed changes to the Director of Nursing.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Certified CPR and negative TB skin test or chest x-ray.
- Minimum one (1) year of documented health care experience is required.
- Licensed driver with insurance and reliable automobile (preferred).
- Must be able to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push and pull, and lift up to 50 pounds.
