About the position

The Live-In Caregiver position at BrightStar Care of W. Montgomery Co. offers an opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of clients by providing essential home care services. This role emphasizes flexibility, teamwork, and the ability to work under the oversight of registered nurses, ensuring high standards of care are maintained.

Responsibilities

• Providing hygiene care as directed by a nursing supervisor, including bathing, grooming, oral care, dressing, undressing, toileting activities, and taking and recording vital signs.
• Assisting clients with daily tasks such as feeding, meal preparation, linen changes, light housekeeping, and providing transportation to appointments and activities.
• Assisting clients with mobility work as defined by the plan of care and documenting any observed changes to the Director of Nursing.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Certified CPR and negative TB skin test or chest x-ray.
• Minimum one (1) year of documented health care experience is required.
• Licensed driver with insurance and reliable automobile (preferred).
• Must be able to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push, and pull.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
