About the position

The On-Site Ranch Hand & Property Maintenance position is available immediately at a small gentleman's 30-acre horse ranch located 17 miles outside of Prescott, Arizona. This full-time role requires the individual to live on the premises, with housing provided. The primary responsibilities include maintaining the cleanliness of horse stalls and barn aisles, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for both horses and clients. The ranch hand will also be responsible for property maintenance tasks such as repairing and maintaining the irrigation and drip systems, mowing and landscaping, and general upkeep of the ranch and barn facilities. Additionally, the position involves feeding and watering the horses twice daily and leading them to and from their turnouts, although riding is not required. Candidates should possess experience working around horses and operating a tractor, along with a professional attitude and the ability to work independently. The role demands physical stamina, as it involves performing physically demanding tasks for extended periods and working in varying weather conditions, including extreme heat. The job is described as dirty and dusty, requiring the ability to lift and carry heavy objects, which may exceed 50 lbs. The ranch offers a small 300 square foot studio/efficiency apartment that includes a kitchen, bathroom, and living area, with access to a laundry room. Responsibilities
