About the position

The Live Operations Manager at Pilgrim's is responsible for overseeing and coordinating production activities to ensure the efficient delivery of high-quality birds for processing. This role involves managing live operations at a processing facility, including breeder and broiler production, hatcheries, and feed mills, while ensuring compliance with safety measures and operational objectives.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate live operations at the processing facility, including breeder production, broiler production, hatcheries, and feed mills.
• Establish management programs and procedures for hatchery and breeder/broiler operations to meet volume and cost objectives.
• Resolve conflicts that may arise within the operations.
• Serve as the primary liaison for processing operations, including sales activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of directly related experience in live operations.
• Experience in daily operations of Live Haul, Feed Haul, and Feed Mill, Breeder, and Broiler production, including Hatchery experience.
• Management and supervisory experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of the relationship between Live Operations and the Processing Plant.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, etc).

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in poultry or grow out operations preferred.
