About the position

We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Nanny to provide exceptional care for children aged 8 to 10 years in a safe and engaging environment. The role involves working full-time from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm, Monday to Friday, with responsibilities that include supervising children, planning educational activities, and maintaining a clean and organized environment. The ideal candidate will be proactive, responsible, and able to travel during the summer months.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and ensure the safety of children at all times.
• Plan and engage in age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development.
• Provide care for preschool and toddler-aged children, including meal preparation and clean-up.
• Assist with homework and educational tasks as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized play area to promote a healthy environment.
• Administer first aid when necessary, ensuring the well-being of the children.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding daily activities, milestones, and any concerns.
• Run errands for the family when needed, including picking children up from school and taking them to activities.
• Maintain a clean house (light housekeeping).
• Be able to stay longer hours when needed.
• Be able to travel 4-6 weeks during the summer to London.

Requirements

• Proven experience in babysitting, nannying, or childcare is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of child development principles, especially for preschoolers and toddlers.
• Ability to prepare nutritious meals suitable for young children.
• Certification in First Aid or CPR is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor.
• A clean background check is required prior to employment.
• A genuine passion for educating and nurturing children.
• Some personal assisting experience is preferred.
• Must drive and have a clean record.
• Must be 21 and over.
