Responsibilities

• Direct the pickup and transportation of fryers.
• Meet with the crew at the beginning of the shift and assign duties.
• Monitor animal welfare practices and procedures.
• Make decisions on how many birds per crew.
• Check on crews while at the ranches and assure all is going well.
• Correct any problems necessary.
• Coordinate shipping schedules with all affected plant forepersons.
• Hire and fire employees.
• Establish and enforce company and department safety and production standards.
• Provide necessary training for crew.
• Work with other departments, as needed, for overall division planning and proper record keeping of employees, to include documentation of all disciplinary actions.
• Supervise the training of truck and other drivers.

Requirements

• Have a minimum of 1-2 years of supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of poultry transportation preferred but not required.
• Must have good communication skills both verbal and written.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.
• Ability to work in extreme cold/hot, dusty environment.
• Must have good communication skills.
• Must have the ability to make decisions while under pressure.
• Must have and maintain an acceptable DMV driving record.
• Ability to follow and enforce all company rules, policies and procedures.
• Ability to work various shifts including extended hours, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to meet production standards and deadlines.
