About the position

The Livestock Monitoring Technology Implementation Specialist will support the sales team, distributors, and customers by providing on-site and remote troubleshooting, installation, and training for livestock monitoring systems. This role is crucial in ensuring the effective implementation and operation of technology solutions that enhance animal health and management outcomes in the Southeast region of the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Assist with livestock monitoring system setup and configuration.
• Provide remote and on-site troubleshooting.
• Conduct remote training and review of system operation.
• Maintain PC and livestock technology products, including software upgrades.
• Assist distribution installers and provide onsite and remote assistance.
• Organize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Provide weekend and evening phone assistance.
• Document software and hardware issues.
• Document warranty-related issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree with livestock or technical emphasis, or five years of applicable experience in lieu of a degree.
• Valid U.S. motor vehicle driver's license without restriction.
• Excellent written, verbal, and Microsoft Office skills.
• Willingness to travel 50-60% within the region.
• Willingness to abide by all company policy and approval processes when traveling or purchasing company assets.
• Ability to work with sales to create site layouts for livestock monitoring equipment.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with herd management software (DC305, PC Dart, Bovisync, etc.).
• Practical livestock experience, such as on-farm work.
