About the position

The Loader position at Cornerstone Building Brands involves operating forklifts and managing material handling processes to prepare steel fabrication products for shipment. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and teamwork, ensuring that all products are loaded correctly and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate staging, loading, and material handling for steel fabrication products.
• Ensure safety of self and fellow workers while prioritizing quality.
• Scan all products loaded into trucks 100%.
• Report any safety or quality concerns to the Supervisor or Plant Manager immediately.
• Unload and load trucks and trailers.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
• A minimum of one (1) year of related work experience in manufacturing or a comparable work environment.
• A minimum of one (1) year of forklift operation experience.
• Comfort and familiarity with power hand tools.
• Willingness to train, certify, and operate forklift and overhead crane.
• Ability to work effectively to meet deadlines.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
• General mathematical knowledge and proficiency with basic measuring instruments.

Nice-to-haves

• Overhead crane experience is a plus.
