About the position
Pactiv Evergreen is seeking dedicated Forklift Operators to join our team in Moorhead, MN. As a Forklift Operator, you will play a crucial role in our production process by loading bundles of shrink-wrapped egg cartons onto dry vans, ensuring that our operations run smoothly and efficiently. The position requires physical stamina, as you will be bending, lifting, and moving products weighing up to 40 lbs throughout your shift. You will also be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of your work area, as well as scrapping waste as needed. In this role, you will operate a forklift for approximately 40% of your shift, depending on departmental needs. You will transfer inventory within the warehouse and onto trailers, either by hand or using the forklift, and sort and restock pallets as necessary. Safety is a top priority at Pactiv Evergreen, and you will be expected to adhere to all safety procedures and wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE) while on the job. Responsibilities
- Consistently loads bundles of shrink-wrapped egg cartons onto dry vans by bending over and lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Scraps waste as needed and handles general upkeep of work area.
- Utilizes the forklift for approximately 40% of the day or less depending on department needs.
- Transfers inventory within the warehouse and onto trailers either by hand or forklift.
- Sorts and restocks pallets as needed.
- Safely operates equipment and follows all safety procedures in place.
- Must be able to wear and follow PPE guidelines.
Requirements
- Desire or ability to operate forklifts for 40% of the shift (training available).
- Successful completion of jobs on time.
- Demonstrates self-discipline and compliance with standards of conduct similar to industrial rules.
- Great attendance is essential as we have a points system.
- Ability to bend, lift, and move products overhead throughout the day weighing up to 40 lbs.
