About the position
The Loader Operator at Arcosa Crushed Concrete is responsible for safely operating a rubber tire loader and performing various tasks related to material handling and equipment maintenance. This role emphasizes adherence to safety procedures and effective communication with supervisors to ensure operational efficiency and safety in a dynamic work environment.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate rubber tire loader with competency and caution, adhering to safety procedures and requirements.
- Feed plant, load trucks, stockpile materials, pushup stockpiles, and maintain clean yard and roadways.
- Communicate regularly with field supervisor regarding assigned work and specific instructions.
- Use hand tools such as wrenches, sockets, screwdriver, sledge hammer, and others as needed to accomplish daily tasks.
- Perform scheduled maintenance on assigned equipment, including oil and filter changes and other necessary repairs.
- Inspect equipment and maintain a written log of all equipment-related deficiencies.
- Maintain housekeeping of work site, including trash pickup and proper storage of equipment at the end of the workday.
- Perform other duties as assigned or required.
Requirements
- Some experience required.
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Excellent communication skills.
