About the position

The Loan Agency Deal Team Operations Analyst I plays a crucial role in SRS Acquiom's Loan Agency department, focusing on the administration of Loan Agency transactions. This position involves a variety of tasks including setting up new loans, calculating payments, setting rates, and addressing inquiries from clients and service partners. The analyst will manage daily operations in a fast-paced environment, ensuring exceptional customer service while maintaining a strong awareness of internal controls and risk management. This hybrid role can be based in either Denver, CO or Minneapolis, MN, and offers a competitive hourly rate based on experience. In this role, the analyst will be responsible for creating and maintaining transaction documents that facilitate the ongoing administration of loan transactions. They will generate and send notices to borrowers and lenders regarding important updates such as upcoming payments and rate conversions. Additionally, the analyst will maintain the loan system, making necessary updates and terminating deals when loans mature. Responding to inquiries from both internal and external parties is a key aspect of this position, requiring a comprehensive understanding of internal processes and procedures. The analyst will also be expected to provide excellent customer service, ensuring that all clients and parties involved have a positive experience. This includes researching and resolving issues related to administration and client service, using judgment and problem-solving skills to interpret loan-related information. Effective communication and collaboration with internal groups and external clients via phone and email are essential. The role also involves data entry in the loan system and Microsoft Excel, as well as providing support to the team as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Set up new deals on the Loan System and create and maintain transaction documents that assist with the ongoing administration of the loan transactions.
  • Generate and send notices to the borrower and lenders regarding upcoming payments, fundings, rate sets and conversions, etc.
  • Maintain the loans in the loan system and make necessary updates as needed.
  • Terminate deals on the loan system when the loan matures.
  • Respond to inquiries from internal and external parties regarding the loan.
  • Comprehend internal processes and procedures while maintaining internal controls.
  • Provide excellent customer service to all clients and parties, both internal and external, to ensure all have an exceptional experience.
  • Research and resolve issues related to administration and client service in connection with assigned tasks.
  • Use judgement, interpretation and problem-solving to understand loan related information.
  • Professionally communicate and collaborate with internal groups and external clients by phone and email.
  • Perform data entry in loan system and Microsoft Excel.
  • Provide coverage and support to the team, when needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or operations (or commensurate work experience) required.
  • 1+ years of work experience in finance, loan agency or bank operations.
  • Understanding of syndicated and bilateral loans preferred.
  • Ability to independently research, analyze and resolve complex problems and quickly learn new concepts.
  • Strong drive to achieve results and the ability to self-motivate in the face of multiple priorities while managing time efficiently.
  • Deadline-driven and highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proven problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, good judgement and intuition, and the ability to communicate with external and internal parties in a responsive, friendly, professional and proactive approach.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with management and team members to align goals and complete all tasks.
  • Demonstrate integrity in day-to-day administration of duties and all interactions with internal and external parties.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 Business and extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
