About the position

The Loan and Demo Equipment Specialist at Thales Defense & Security, Inc. is responsible for managing and maintaining the inventory of equipment used for showcasing product capabilities to internal and external customers. This role involves ensuring proper tracking, operation, and upkeep of equipment, as well as maintaining software and firmware updates. The specialist will also coordinate logistics for events, support customer training, and assist the field service team as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain equipment inventory for internal and external customers.
  • Ensure proper tracking of equipment to and from event sites.
  • Oversee the operation and upkeep of equipment, including software and firmware updates.
  • Maintain and report budget for Loan & Demo activities.
  • Schedule shipments and coordinate associated activities such as Export and COMSEC tracking.
  • Assist in developing and identifying equipment suites for successful events.
  • Communicate clearly with stakeholders to ensure proper equipment for proposed events.
  • Maintain updated inventory to ensure proper operations.
  • Support customer training and test events as required.
  • Provide supplemental support to the field service team as needed.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, fluent in English.
  • Minimum of two years experience with tactical communications equipment.
  • Technical degree and prior experience in communications operator training preferred.
  • Experience in military personnel with applicable skill sets is strongly considered.
  • Ability to comply with all company guidelines, policies, and procedures.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with group training and ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Experience as a junior engineer in tactical communications companies.
