About The Position

The Loan Auditor at BankPlus is responsible for reviewing and auditing both commercial and consumer loans to ensure compliance with bank policies and federal regulations. This role involves meticulous documentation checks, communication with branch personnel, and maintaining accurate records, all while supporting the overall efficiency of the loan operations team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or two or more years of banking experience, with loan document experience.
• General computer and typing experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Strong organization skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to make difficult decisions and handle multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Audit loan documentation, supporting documents, and disclosures on all loans based on established guidelines and policies.
• Ensure loans are audited with accuracy and consistency.
• Perform a system check-back of loans to ensure loans are loaded correctly.
• Load exceptions to policy and regulatory compliance into the exception tracking system.
• Communicate with branch personnel regarding loan documentation, exceptions, and trailing documents.
• Maintain an accurate database for retention of original promissory notes.
• Perform back-up duties for other areas in the department as required.
• Assist with Special Projects and/or Internal/External audits as needed.
• Provide support to Senior Loan Auditor and Insurance Services.
• Ability to work independently to ensure reports are reviewed and processed in a timely manner.
• Ability to prioritize daily workload while performing multiple tasks.
• Ensure Promissory Notes are properly logged and monitored.
• Maintain a thorough knowledge of Bank products, services, policies, procedures, and appropriate regulatory issues as related to daily job functions.
