About the position

The Loan Control Analyst at Zions Bancorporation is responsible for ensuring compliance with company credit policies and lending standards. This remote position requires the candidate to review and analyze loan packages, make recommendations for approvals, and maintain quality control in lending practices. The role involves monitoring collateral documentation, conducting audits, and preparing reports to track compliance and exceptions.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and review loans for compliance with company credit policy and lending standard operating procedures.
• Make decisions and recommendations for loan approvals based on reviews.
• Review and screen loan files for compliance and identify problems.
• Prepare and analyze loan packages to ensure compliance with program guidelines.
• Recommend procedures to maintain quality control in lending practices.
• Monitor and follow up on collateral documentation.
• Review files subject to audits and remediate exceptions prior to audits.
• Track and maintain audit exception reports.
• Perform post-closing audits and reviews of loan files for compliance with Standard Operating Procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience in lending, credit/compliance policies, loan analysis, or related experience.
• Advanced knowledge of lending, loan documentation, credit policies, and audit/review procedures.
• Strong analysis, problem resolution, and auditing skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Exceptional communication and customer relations skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar software.

Nice-to-haves

• Banking or Finance experience is a plus.
• Ability to lead or train other analysts.
