About the position

The Loan File Processing Specialist I is responsible for managing the processes and team involved in loan post-closing activities, including Loan File Processing and compliance with regulatory requirements. This role oversees the Loan Administration staff, ensuring adherence to Bank OZK Loan Policy and federal guidelines while providing support to lending personnel.

Responsibilities

  • Direct supervision of Loan Administration staff including Loan File Processing, Imaging, Paid, and Vault for Community Banking and Indirect Lending.
  • Manage loan post-closing activities required for internal and external audits.
  • Review and audit loan documents for accuracy regarding document types and borrower information.
  • Provide direction to the team, overseeing daily workload and compliance with regulatory requirements through leadership and coaching.
  • Develop training initiatives for staff development and motivation.
  • Prioritize and plan workflow for Loan File Processing and Paid teams to meet deadlines.
  • Develop policies and procedures impacting Loan Operations.
  • Oversee original loan files and ensure vaults are maintained according to Federal guidelines.
  • Manage project management for mergers and acquisitions, ensuring accurate core data conversions.
  • Review daily reports for accuracy of vault coding.
  • Create and provide monthly reports to senior management on department productivity.
  • Provide daily support to lending personnel, including policy interpretation and problem resolution.
  • Manage and work on multiple projects simultaneously with varying responsibilities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years' experience in loan operations required.
  • Experience working with Fiserv Premier preferred.
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in a leadership or supervisory role preferred.
  • Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
  • Ability to lead and manage a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and meet exacting deadlines.
  • Ability to work under general supervision.
  • High attention to detail with exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Proven ability to adapt well to change.
  • Ability to learn and perform in a fast-paced environment.
  • Skill in using computer and Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
