About the position

The Loan Officer Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the loan officers and the Branch Manager at CrossCountry Mortgage (CCM). This position is primarily responsible for managing the schedules of loan officers, ensuring that appointments are organized and efficiently handled. The Loan Officer Assistant will also be tasked with maintaining the branch lead tracker and database, which are essential for tracking potential clients and managing business relationships. This role requires a proactive approach to communication, as the assistant will be the first point of contact for incoming calls and will assist in clerical tasks such as copying and faxing documents. In addition to scheduling appointments, the Loan Officer Assistant will facilitate regular weekly meetings based on branch metrics and operations, ensuring that the team stays aligned with branch objectives related to pre-qualifications and pre-approvals. The assistant will also attend branch events to help the Loan Officer build clientele, which is vital for the growth and success of the branch. Completing and maintaining branch-assigned checklists and files within the designated deadlines is another key responsibility of this position. Overall, the Loan Officer Assistant is integral to the smooth operation of the branch, providing essential support that allows loan officers to focus on their primary responsibilities of serving clients and closing loans. Responsibilities

  • Schedule all loan officer appointments, including new leads and additional appointments for the Branch Manager.
  • Take all incoming calls.
  • Assist Loan Officer with clerical tasks, such as copying and faxing documents.
  • Schedule regular weekly face-to-face meetings based on branch metrics and operations.
  • Meet branch objectives specific to pre-qualifications and pre-approvals.
  • Attend branch events to assist Loan Officer in building clientele.
  • Complete and maintain branch-assigned checklists, files, analysis within allotted branch deadlines.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Residential mortgage experience, preferred.
  • Encompass experience, preferred.
  • Experience with RESPA and general knowledge of all mortgage and consumer lending regulations, and loan documents preferred.
  • Excellent math and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proficient in DU, LP, Microsoft Outlook & Windows.
