About the position

Bay Equity is a full-service retail mortgage lending institution headquartered in Corte Madera. We are currently seeking a Loan Officer Assistant to join our team in Puyallup, WA. The Loan Officer Assistant will play a crucial role in providing sales support to a top-producing origination team, helping to maintain and build client relationships. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering outstanding customer service. In this role, the Loan Officer Assistant will be responsible for a variety of administrative tasks that support the origination team. This includes promoting loan products to clients and referral partners, obtaining loan conditions from clients, and answering questions about the loan process. The assistant will input loan application data into the loan origination software, run AUS preapprovals, and submit lock requests through Encompass. Additionally, the Loan Officer Assistant will communicate loan status with referral sources, escrow, loan processing, and realtors, as well as prepare various client and sales communications for the team. The Loan Officer Assistant will also be tasked with setting up meetings with potential referral partners and helping to manage pipelines. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who can multi-task and prioritize effectively while maintaining a high level of customer service. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in administrative support or loan origination, with experience in Encompass and Excel being a plus. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary range of $40,000 - $50,000 per year, plus bonuses, based on experience.

Responsibilities

  • Support top producing Origination Team with general administrative tasks related to promoting loan products to clients and referral partners
  • Assist Team with obtaining loan conditions from clients and answering questions about the loan process
  • Input loan application data provided by the borrower into the loan origination software and/or Encompass
  • Run AUS preapprovals as requested
  • Submit lock request through Encompass
  • Obtain loan rates and pricing
  • Communicate loan status with referral sources, escrow, Loan Processing, and/or Realtors
  • Prepare various client and sales communication for the team
  • Set-up meetings with various potential referral partners
  • Help manage pipelines

Requirements

  • High School degree or GED
  • 1+ year administrative or origination experience
  • Experience with Encompass and Excel a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
  • Detail and results oriented
  • Must have a NMLS license
  • Ability to provide outstanding customer service in fast paced environment
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize
