About the position

As a Loan Officer at Veterans United Home Loans, you will play a crucial role in educating veterans and service members about the VA loan benefit, serving as their primary point of contact throughout the entire loan process. Your responsibilities will include calling leads, collecting borrower financial and credit information, processing this information through an online approval system, and educating borrowers on the loan process. You will assist them in identifying the most appropriate loan options and structure loans, including rates and fees. Additionally, you will secure the necessary documentation and manage the loan process through to closing. This position may also involve non-traditional hours and overtime, but it offers a rewarding experience for both you and the borrowers you assist. Responsibilities

  • Call leads and collect borrower financial and credit information.
  • Process borrower credit information through the online approval system.
  • Educate borrowers on the loan process and assist them in identifying appropriate loan options.
  • Structure loans for borrowers, including rates and fees for loans.
  • Secure proper documentation and manage the loan process through to closing.
  • Actively contribute to making the team and culture stronger by assisting with other duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Must be NMLS licensed or be licensed upon employment.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced and agile environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage time efficiently and prioritize responsibilities effectively.
  • Proven salesmanship and customer service skills.

Benefits

  • Base pay plus commission structure with potential earnings between $60,000 to $115,000.
