About the position

As a Loan Officer, you will play a crucial role in bringing homeownership to life for our customers. You will be responsible for seeking and developing relationships with new business sources, both internally and externally, and will meet with prospective customers, brokers, and referral sources to collect and analyze financial information. Your expertise will help customers navigate the risks and benefits of various mortgage products, guiding them to select the appropriate loan program within the Lennar Mortgage roadmap. In this role, you will obtain loan applications from customers and work diligently to achieve loan approval. You will support the company's growth through outside sales activities and lead generation, traveling to various communities, realtors' offices, and other locations regularly to solicit new business. Conducting “First Time Homebuyer Seminars” will be part of your responsibilities, as you develop leads and build relationships with New Home Consultants and prospective/current customers. You will also review leads daily, contact prospective customers, and set up meetings to discuss their loan needs. Your responsibilities will include originating and preparing new loans in accordance with company guidelines, advising customers on mortgage loan products, and locking in interest rates as needed. You will assist New Home Consultants with pre-qualifications and maintain reports within the origination computer system to ensure a complete exchange of information regarding loan applications and statuses. Meeting or exceeding established sales goals will be a key performance indicator for your success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Seek and develop relationships for new business sources both internally and externally.
  • Meet with and interview prospective customers, brokers, and referral sources to collect and analyze financial information.
  • Advise customers on the risks and benefits of various mortgage products and help select the appropriate loan program.
  • Obtain loan applications from customers and work with them to achieve loan approval.
  • Support the company's growth through outside sales activities and lead generation.
  • Travel to various communities, realtors' offices, and other locations to solicit new business and leads.
  • Conduct 'First Time Homebuyer Seminars' to develop leads and build relationships.
  • Review leads daily and contact prospective customers to set up meetings.
  • Originate and prepare new loans in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Advise and recommend mortgage loan products based on customer needs.
  • Review interest rates and lock loans with borrowers as needed.
  • Assist New Home Consultants with pre-qualifications of customers.
  • Maintain reports and notes within the origination computer system regarding prospects and customers.

Requirements

  • Four-year college degree (preferred).
  • At least three years of Loan Originating experience.
  • Management or leadership experience preferred.
  • Bilingual - Spanish preferred.
  • Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule, including evening and weekend work.
  • Valid driver's license and dependable transportation.
  • NMLS License required, or willing to obtain, in California.
