About the position

The Loan Officer at Texas Trust Credit Union plays a crucial role in both sales and service, focusing on meeting the financial needs of members through a variety of lending products and services. This position requires strong sales skills, customer service orientation, and the ability to build meaningful relationships with members while promoting the credit union's offerings.

Responsibilities

  • Assess and solve members' financial needs through inbound phone and email correspondence.
  • Recommend a suite of products and services including auto and personal lending, new account openings, credit cards, and insurance products.
  • Handle online account opening and lending queues, ensuring compliance with credit union policies.
  • Actively promote financial services and build relationships with members and the community.
  • Provide first-line support for e-commerce lending products and new account services.
  • Professionally handle all incoming requests for loans or accounts across various communication channels.
  • Deepen member relationships and share-of-wallet through targeted solutions.
  • Coordinate with management to enhance the online member experience and marketing efforts.
  • Provide necessary disclosures to members for compliance with regulations.
  • Respond to member inquiries and resolve concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Be receptive to coaching and feedback to meet or exceed goals.

Requirements

  • One year or more of experience in a high-paced sales environment with a track record of meeting/exceeding goals.
  • Six months of customer service experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum two years of college coursework or equivalent work experience.
  • Proficiency in operating computer systems and comfort with technology.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to establish credibility and rapport with members.
  • Self-motivated and assertive, with a strong work ethic and team player mentality.
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Multilingual verbal and written skills preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a business field preferred.
  • Ability to manage difficult situations with little supervision preferred.
