About the position

Bay Equity is seeking a Loan Officer to join their team in San Antonio, TX. This full-time position involves originating loans, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. The Loan Officer will leverage extensive marketing efforts to build relationships with clients and real estate professionals, contributing to the growth and success of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Conduct business in compliance with all state and federal regulations.
• Market to clients through various sales efforts, including creating relationships with real estate agents and attending industry meetings.
• Field inbound loan inquiries and originate loans.
• Work with Loan Coordinator and processing to close loans.

Requirements

• NMLS licensed with 2 years of experience.
• Complete understanding of current mortgage laws, guidelines, loan programs, and trends.
• Ability to assist customers in determining suitable mortgage options.
• Ability to negotiate loan terms and conditions with clients.
• Outstanding customer service skills.
• Excellent sales and consulting skills.
• Competent in performing mathematical and analytical tasks.
• Ability to speak and present confidently in front of groups.
• Superior written and verbal communication skills.
• High School Diploma or GED required; AA or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
