About the position

The Loan Officer at Primary Residential Mortgage Inc. is responsible for proactively soliciting new residential mortgage clients and developing a strong network of referrals. This role involves analyzing borrowers' financial and credit data to assess creditworthiness and providing tailored mortgage solutions. The Loan Officer will also maintain relationships with realtors, builders, and bankers to generate new business opportunities and ensure timely closings for clients.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively solicit new residential mortgage clients.
  • Develop and cultivate a strong business network of referrals.
  • Analyze a borrower's financial and credit data to determine creditworthiness.
  • Develop new business opportunities and sales leads by cultivating relationships with realtors, builders, and bankers.
  • Review application information and request supporting documentation as needed.
  • Analyze applicant data, credit, and collateral property value.
  • Determine which financial products best meet the customer's needs and financial circumstances.
  • Provide advice regarding the advantages and disadvantages of available financial products.
  • Market, service, or promote the employer's financial products.
  • Complete necessary continuing education in a timely manner.
  • Create and maintain excellent business relationships with referral clients.
  • Correspond and communicate with clients, in-house support staff, and external service providers to facilitate timely closings.

Requirements

  • Sales experience in the mortgage industry is preferred.
  • Familiarity with mortgage processes, procedures, rules, regulations, and compliance.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including a working knowledge of MS Office.
  • Ability to comprehend and analyze financial information.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and present complex financial information.
  • Established contact and referral list within the real estate and mortgage industries preferred.
  • Ability to pass a required background check.
