About the position

Paramount Residential Mortgage Group (PRMG) is seeking a dedicated Loan Officer to join our team in Durham, NC. As a Loan Officer, you will play a crucial role in helping clients navigate their residential mortgage financing options, ensuring that their needs are met with a full array of products and services. In this position, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies that satisfy customer needs while maintaining a seamless flow of business operations. You will act as a liaison between customers and the company's internal departments, ensuring effective communication and coordination. Your role will require you to spend a significant portion of your working hours outside of the office, meeting with clients and potential customers to discuss their home loan options. The ideal candidate will possess a current, valid NMLS license and have a strong background in mortgage lending. You will be expected to verify, compile, and input application information for mortgage loans, review residential loan application files for completeness, and inform your supervisor of any discrepancies. Additionally, you will be tasked with advising clients on their home loan options and ensuring that all application data meets established standards. This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to make sound judgments and problem-solve independently. Organizational skills are essential for prioritizing your workload and delegating responsibilities effectively. Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements strategies to satisfy customer needs through a full array of products and services.
  • Ensures uninterrupted flow of business using judgment and discretion.
  • Communicates effectively with co-workers and customers, acting as a liaison between customers and internal departments.
  • Verifies, compiles, and inputs application information for mortgage loans.
  • Discusses and advises clients on their home loan options.
  • Reviews residential loan application files to verify completeness and compliance with standards.
  • Informs supervisor of discrepancies in title or survey.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Current, valid NMLS license or appointment in good standing.
  • Applicable state licensing is required.
  • Two to five years of experience in mortgage lending is preferred.
  • Must actively fund more than 2 loans/month, complete Xinnix Training for Loan Origination, or have an origination mentor assigned who funds more than 2 loans/month.
