About the position

The Loan Onboarding Specialist at BayFirst National Bank is responsible for the accurate and timely booking of consumer and commercial/SBA term loans. This role involves setting up automatic payments, processing vendor fee payments, and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. The position requires effective communication with various stakeholders, including customers and internal teams, to facilitate smooth loan processing and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Book consumer and commercial/SBA term loans, including setting up automatic payments.
• Create and monitor trailing document ticklers.
• Process third party vendor fee payments, including GL posting.
• Ensure timely clearing of new loan transactions in the general ledger.
• Respond to customer service requests.
• Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Minimum of six (6) months of clerical or data entry experience in an office setting required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all internal business partners and external customers.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Intermediate understanding of commercial and consumer loan structures.
• Ability to research moderately complex issues.
• Working knowledge of federal and state compliance laws and regulations.
