About the position

The Loan Operations Booking Specialist at Texas Capital Bank is responsible for onboarding all commercial loans into the core banking system (ACBS). This role is crucial for ensuring the accuracy and precision of loan documentation and deal terms, which are essential for the ongoing servicing of commercial loans. The specialist will work closely with various loan documents, requiring a high level of detail and comprehension of complex loan contracts.

Responsibilities

• Receive and review commercial loan documentation (both attorney prepared and Laser Pro prepared)
• Identify key terms within the loan documentation
• Enter loan details into the ACBS system of record, including borrower entities, guarantor entities, rate, repayment, accrual, collateral, etc.
• Understand and interpret the Bank's credit approval document and any applicable credit write up
• Navigate the bank's Commercial Loan Origination platform to access the required loan documents
• Create new clients in the Bank's Client Onboarding application (Signature UI)
• Book new, renewed, and modification credit actions to the Bank's core system (ACBS) for various lending actions
• Translate key terms from commercial loan documentation into the ACBS system of record
• Understand complex loan structures and documentation, including large syndicated transactions
• Properly transact offsets within the Loan General Ledger system
• Respond quickly to quality control deficiency citations to correct errors in the booking process
• Communicate the status of loan booking to line of business partners and bank managers
• Manage a pipeline of pending loans and prioritize accordingly
• Identify errors or issues at the time of booking and escalate accordingly

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of commercial lending experience (closing, servicing, booking, loan documentation)
• Prior experience working on a commercial loan accounting system (preferably ACBS)
• Superior oral and written communication skills
• Ability to perform independent analysis and interpretation of incoming booking requests
• High attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a high volume work environment
• Ability to manage a work queue and prioritize accordingly
• Ability to problem solve and clear hurdles to ensure timely processing of all work
