About the position

The Loan Operations Commercial Real Estate Loan Closer is responsible for ensuring that all commercial real estate loans originated at Texas Capital Bank are closed in accordance with loan approvals and the bank's credit policy requirements. This role involves collecting and reviewing due diligence, ensuring loan documentation consistency, and coordinating final closing and funding activities throughout the loan cycle. The Loan Closer serves as the primary point of contact and process driver during the loan origination process, ensuring an exceptional client experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead the coordination of commercial real estate loan closings from term sheet to initial funding and booking.
  • Review loan documentation against formal credit approval and ensure compliance with bank, federal, and state policies.
  • Analyze due diligence required to close commercial real estate loans, including entity documentation and environmental reports.
  • Book closed loans to ACBS, the loan system of record.
  • Manage post-closing requirements and weekly past due and maturing loan reports.
  • Obtain and transmit original loan documents and review and clear all loan collateral exceptions.
  • Assist Relationship Managers with processing renewals and modifications on applicable loans.
  • Act as a liaison with internal business partners to facilitate account openings and loan fundings.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with customers and team members.
  • Assist management with various operational duties and special projects.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years commercial real estate loan closing experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple loans simultaneously to meet critical closing deadlines.
  • Prior commercial loan closing experience, including due diligence requirements around commercial collateral.
  • Demonstrated expertise in reviewing and interpreting loan documentation and lien perfection.
  • Ability to interface effectively and build positive working relationships with various stakeholders.

Nice-to-haves

  • Degree preferred, but commensurate work experience will be strongly considered.
