About the position

The Loan Operations Coordinator at First National Bank is responsible for assisting branches with the analysis, evaluation, documentation, and closing of loan requests. This role involves ensuring customer service goals are met, maintaining compliance with operating policies, and serving as a subject matter expert in loan operations. The coordinator will support branch managers and lending teams, manage daily functions of loan representatives, and provide accurate reporting on production volumes.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for the assigned team.
  • Assign daily functions of Loan Representatives and facilitate daily workflow to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Provide support to co-workers in all areas relating to questions and processing issues.
  • Support branch managers and commercial lending teams in analyzing, evaluating, documenting, and closing loan requests.
  • Discuss loan inquiries, documentation, and processing issues, providing direction and solutions.
  • Provide service to customers regarding loan products and services, assisting with inquiries or service problems.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records of production volumes and provide reports to management monthly or as requested.
  • Perform other related duties and projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in loan operations or related field.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Proficient in using general office equipment and personal computers.
  • Intermediate level proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel.
  • Working knowledge of banking operating policies and procedures.
