About the position

The Loan Operations Investment Banking Closer/Servicer at Texas Capital Bank is responsible for managing the closing process of Investment Banking loans and trades, ensuring compliance with loan approvals and bank policies. This role serves as the primary point of contact throughout the loan origination process, from initial funding to ongoing servicing, while maintaining strong relationships with clients and internal partners.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead the coordination of IB loan closings from term sheet to initial funding and booking.
  • Interface with internal business partners, clients, attorneys, syndicate bank members, and other third-party vendors and consultants.
  • Manage pipeline of ongoing Loan Trades, coordinating with IB Line of Business, IB Operations, Syndications, and other partners.
  • Review loan documentation against formal credit approval and ensure compliance with bank, federal, and state policies.
  • Collect, review, and analyze due diligence required to close an investment banking loan.
  • Coordinate and prepare loan packages for closing utilizing wet signatures and/or DocuSign.
  • Book closed loans and/or trades to ACBS, the loan system of record.
  • Handle ongoing post-closing and servicing needs, including assignments, payments, and investor inquiries.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with customers and business partners to ensure an exceptional client experience.
  • Assist with special projects as necessary.

Requirements

  • Ability to manage multiple loans simultaneously to meet critical closing deadlines.
  • Ability to interface effectively and build positive working relationships with executive management, clients, and third-party consultants.
  • Prior Investment Banking, Term Loan B, and/or trade experience.
  • Superior oral and written communication skills.
  • Proven history as a self-starter with strong change management skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Nice-to-haves

  • Degree preferred, but commensurate work experience will be strongly considered.
  • Knowledge of ACBS system & ClearPar.
