About the position

The Loan Operations Specialist I at Maverick Bank is a detail-oriented role focused on loan document preparation and servicing. Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary information for loan document preparation.
  • Review loan documentation packages for accuracy and completeness.
  • Perform meticulous reviews of loan documentation and complete core input based on transaction specifics.
  • Conduct thorough audits to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Verify data accuracy and consistency across all documents, making necessary corrections.
  • Complete electronic filing and exception tracking for each closed loan.
  • Assist with timely and accurate preparation of monthly reports.
  • Complete daily loan balancing and other critical reports.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency in loan operations processes.
  • Propose and implement improvements to loan input templates and guidelines.
  • Stay informed about industry regulations and updates to loan documentation requirements.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of company policies related to loan documentation.

Requirements

  • Minimum three years of experience in bank loan operations and/or loan document preparation.
  • In-depth knowledge of various loan products, lending regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in using loan management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to propose process improvements.
  • Strong organizational skills and capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Fair Housing regulations (1 year preferred).
  • Customer service experience (1 year preferred).
