About the position

The Loan Operations Specialist plays a crucial role in the management and servicing of loans and leases within the bank's computer systems. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate records and ensuring that all loan-related activities are conducted in compliance with the bank's policies and procedures. The specialist will handle various types of loans, including Commercial, Equipment Finance, Mortgage, and Consumer loans, providing essential support throughout the loan lifecycle. In this role, the specialist will input and verify new and renewed note information, ensuring that it meets the established quality standards. They will compute interest and principal payments, as well as process loan payments, including participation remittances. Monitoring reports to validate information, reconciling general ledger accounts, and maintaining lender-placed insurance are also key responsibilities. The specialist will manage non-accrual and charge-off loans, process incoming wires, and verify and correct E-Oscar disputes. Additionally, they will maintain escrow accounts, process paid-in-full loans, and release collateral as necessary. The Loan Operations Specialist will also be tasked with checking in new consumer and mortgage notes and collateral, researching and resolving customer inquiries related to paid-in-full loans and collateral, and performing monthly reporting and remittance to various investors. A strong emphasis is placed on promoting and implementing the bank's sales culture and service philosophies, ensuring that customer service remains a top priority. Other duties may be assigned as needed, requiring flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide servicing for all types of loans - Commercial, Equipment Finance, Mortgage and Consumer.
  • Input and ensure new and renewed note information meets quality standards.
  • Compute interest and principal payments, and payoffs on loans.
  • Process loan payments, including participation remittances.
  • Monitor various reports to determine validity of information.
  • Reconcile various general ledger accounts.
  • Maintain the bank's lender placed insurance.
  • Process non-accrual/charge-off loans.
  • Process incoming wires.
  • Verify and correct E-Oscar disputes.
  • Maintain escrow accounts.
  • Process paid in full loans and release collateral.
  • Check in new consumer and mortgage notes and collateral.
  • Research and resolve customer inquiries, including paid in full loans and collateral.
  • Perform monthly reporting and remittance to various investors.
  • Promote and implement the bank's sales culture and service philosophies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree preferred or a combination of banking experience and/or degree.
  • At least six to nine months banking or related experience preferred.
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
