About the position

The Loan Operations Support Analyst II position at Truist is a critical role designed to enhance operational efficiency, quality, and compliance within the banking network. This position is remote and requires the analyst to analyze complex business issues and provide actionable recommendations. The analyst will be responsible for solving intricate system-related operational and customer issues, including those related to fraudulent loans and client complaints. A significant part of the role involves creating and maintaining databases and management reports, interpreting data, and identifying trends that are crucial for management decision-making. In this role, the analyst will monitor and compile daily operational data related to specialized transactions, work volume, productivity, fraud, client complaints, and quality issues. The position also requires the identification, development, and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with government regulations while maximizing efficiency and customer service. As a subject matter expert, the analyst will provide training to others in the department and will be expected to make independent decisions on complex issues, interpreting policies and procedures to resolve problems within established guidelines. Flexibility in prioritizing daily workflow is essential, as the analyst will need to multitask effectively. Participation in project work, including system testing, is also a key responsibility. The analyst will interact directly with both internal and external customers, providing support and resolving inquiries through various communication channels.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze business issues and make recommendations to maximize operational efficiency, quality, and compliance.
  • Analyze and solve complex system-related operational and client issues, including fraudulent loans and client complaints.
  • Identify, develop, and implement policies, procedures, and training materials to assure compliance with government regulations and to maximize efficiency and customer service.
  • Provide training to others in the department/function as a highly skilled subject matter expert.
  • Participate in project work including system testing.
  • Interact directly with internal and external customers by telephone and/or in writing.

Requirements

  • High School degree, or equivalent education and related training or experience with 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Solid understanding of accounting, reconcilement, and balancing processes.
  • Experience conducting investigative research to mitigate fraud and other risks to the bank.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in accounting/finance or 7 years of relevant work experience.

  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office.
